Choose a video type

Common video types

• AI Motion Graphics: narrated explainers built from designed scenes and motion.
• Generative Video: native AI video clips for every storyboard scene, grounded in the images and visual references you provide. It is in a gradual beta rollout and appears only when the current account is eligible.
• Avatar: presenter-led videos using a selected or custom face and voice.
• Screencast: turns a product recording into a structured, polished walkthrough.
• Screencast + Avatar: combines product footage with a presenter.
• AI Slides: a slide-led video with a lighter generation path.

Match the type to the source

Choose motion graphics for designed, narrated explainers. Choose Generative Video, when it is available, for cinematic AI clips where exact interface fidelity is not required. Choose AI Slides when a simpler slide-led structure is enough. Choose a screencast path when showing the exact product interaction is the point. Choose an avatar when a visible presenter adds trust, instruction, or personality.

Availability can vary

The ordinary pre-start picker shows the video types enabled for your account and entry point. Generative Video is visible to administrators and to accounts included in its gradual rollout; an eligible account can see the current rollout percentage on the card. UGC video can be requested in agentic chat but is not shown in the ordinary picker. Use the choices visible in your flow as the current source of truth.

Review the mode-fit check

Before an interactive video reaches the storyboard, ngram compares the selected mode with your request and sources. If another mode looks like a better fit, Studio explains the mismatch once, before credits are used. You can continue with the current mode or start a new video with the recommendation. The mode stays fixed for that conversation; API and headless creation do not pause for this check.

Before generating

• Confirm the type matches the desired output.
• Attach any recording, presenter image, or brand source required by that type.
• Check the script and scene plan in PRO for high-stakes work.
• Review the displayed credit estimate and model choice before proceeding.

A safe first pass

1. Open Home and add the prompt and approved sources.
2. Choose the relevant creation setting and leave unrelated controls at their defaults.
3. Review the mode, duration, aspect ratio, voice, models, and displayed credit estimate. Screencast and Screencast + Avatar require 16:9, so Studio disables incompatible portrait and square choices.
4. Create a representative first version and verify the setting had the intended visible effect.

If the result is not available

If the named choice is missing or disabled, follow the plan message and the current options shown in Studio. Return to Home, reopen the source, or select a compatible video type; contact Support only when an expected eligible control remains unavailable.
