Read before this
Read these direct prerequisites in order. Each guide lists any earlier context it assumes.
Team availability
Creating a team is currently an Ultimate capability. Users can belong to multiple teams and switch the active account or team context from the account menu.
Roles
- Owner: controls ownership, deletion, billing-related team actions, and the highest-risk settings.
- Admin: manages permitted team configuration, members, and invitations.
- Member: uses the shared team context and resources allowed by the team.
Invitations and members
Invitations currently expire after seven days. A team can include up to five members who remain on the Free plan; paid or sponsored members are governed separately. Check the current Team settings UI before relying on a total team-size limit.
Shared resources
- Shared conversations and projects in the active team context.
- Team Brand Kits and approved identity assets.
- Sponsored member plans and owner-managed credit grants where enabled.
- Ownership transfer before the current owner leaves or deletes the team.
A safe first pass
- Open the relevant Projects or Settings surface and confirm the active account or team.
- Locate the project, member, or reusable asset before creating a duplicate.
- Make the smallest reversible change and confirm its owner, name, and visibility.
- Reopen the destination from the intended member context to verify the change.
If the result is not available
If a project, member, or shared asset appears missing, check the active account or team, filters, Recents, and Projects before recreating it. Ask an owner or admin about role restrictions, and contact Support with the relevant project or team URL when access still looks wrong.
