Start with the work your team repeats

Compare how a source document or recording becomes an editable scene sequence and how your team handles corrections. Pictory Central and Visla Enterprise both advertise learning-delivery capabilities; verify the required package and interaction rather than treating a basic MP4 export as an equivalent course product.

How Pictory works

Pictory’s current product supports the following workflow. Pictory offers creation paths for scripts, URLs, presentations, PDFs, audio and recordings. Its storyboard combines stock, uploaded and generated visuals with narration and captions. Highlights provide another path for repurposing a long recording. Evaluate these source-to-storyboard flows with the material you publish repeatedly.

Current Pictory avatar tools support stock or custom presenters and editable placement in the storyboard. Pictory also offers generated images and video alongside its stock library. Its older homepage wording about avatars launching soon is superseded by current dedicated avatar instructions; use the available workflow when comparing.

How Visla works

Visla’s current product supports the following workflow. Visla combines source-based AI creation with recording, stock and workspace editing. The AI Video Agent accepts ideas, scripts, webpages, documents, audio and visual material. Screen, camera and multi-camera capture provide another way to bring in your own content. Compare these inputs with the material your team actually maintains.

Director Mode adds a review stage for characters, products, logos, environments and visual style. You can shape scene images and prompts before generating the video clips. This gives the user control over visual direction before the final clip generation, so a no-planning or manual-only description would miss an important part of Visla.

Branding, review and delivery

Starter includes one Brand Kit, Professional five and Team ten. Enterprise Pictory Central adds hosting, chapters, quizzes, calls to action and SCORM. Course delivery is a separate buying requirement from generating an MP4, so check the relevant package.

Pro lists co-editing with unlimited editors. Business adds the Full Brand Kit, private-stock labeling and 4K; Enterprise adds multiple kits, SSO and SCORM. A team making training should decide whether it needs a video file or a tracked learning package, then evaluate the plan that supplies that delivery.

Before publishing, review the message, factual details, visual choices and audio together. For localization, check the actual voice and terminology you need. The number of supported voices or languages does not establish output quality for your content.

Current pricing and usage units

Billing terms, regional offers and credit units are kept separate below.

ToolChecked plan referenceUsage to budget
PictoryMonthly: Starter $29, Professional $59, Team $199; annual equivalents $25/$35/$119Video minutes, AI-media credits and voice allowances
VislaSelected monthly base plans: Pro $22, Business $59; annual equivalents $15/$39Workspace credits vary by model and operation
ngramBasic $29 monthly or $23.20/month equivalent annuallyGeneration credits at the selected model rate

Pictory pricing: Pictory’s selected monthly plans were Starter $29, Professional $59 and Team $199; annual monthly equivalents were $25, $35 and $119. Monthly video allowances are 200, 600 and 1,800 minutes, with 100, 500 and 2,400 AI credits. Starter and Professional include one seat; Team starts at three. Annual offers can change AI-credit allocations. The 14-day trial has watermarked 720p output; paid plans offer 1080p.

Visla pricing: At the selected base quantities, Pro was $22/month with 10,000 credits and Business $59/month with 20,000 credits. Annual monthly equivalents were $15 and $39 with 120,000 and 240,000 yearly credits. Quantity selectors can change both price and allowance. Different models and operations spend different amounts, so a balance is not a fixed number of finished-video minutes.

Entry paid plan pricing, monthly vs annual billing

This original June 19 chart remains consistent with the checked entry monthly and annual-equivalent prices. It compares subscription prices, not equivalent usage; use the current allowances above for budgeting.

ngram pricing includes 1,000 credits/month on Free. Basic costs $29/month with monthly billing and includes 3,000 credits per cycle; annual billing is $23.20/month equivalent with 36,000 credits supplied upfront. The base rate for premium AI video generation is 10 credits per second, with a cheaper model at 3. Share publicly or embed on Free; use a paid plan for MP4 downloads and Basic or above for unlisted links.

Compare the same billing term, creator count and delivery requirements. Estimate the initial generation and the revisions you expect. Do not divide one tool’s credits by another’s rate or compare different currencies as if the prices use the same units.

Automation and team workflows

Pictory developer workflow: Pictory offers a separate API product, including an MCP Integrator and source-to-video operations. Evaluate its own terms rather than treating a Studio subscription as an API allowance.

Visla developer workflow: Visla’s API is included with paid Pro, Business and Enterprise plans and uses the workspace credit balance. It supports text, webpage, document, audio and visual creation flows. Review its workspace key and integration terms for the application you are building.

The example below uses GitHub’s published CI/CD guide. It shows the actual filled prompt, source, paper-cutout style and generated explainer. Read the input and watch the result, then adapt the brief for your own article. This is ngram output from a public article, not output from Pictory or Visla.

Prompt

Turn this blog post at https://github.blog/enterprise-software/ci-cd/build-ci-cd-pipeline-github-actions-four-steps/ into a 30-second explainer video. Pull the key takeaways and summarize them as short, punchy paper-cutout scenes. Keep the article's own tone: friendly and practical. Format it for LinkedIn in landscape 16:9. CI/CD used to belong to DevOps experts. With GitHub Actions, it lives right in your repo. Setup is simple: drop one file in your repo, and it works. No hardware to buy, no webhooks to wire. Then, four steps. Pick a repository. Open the Actions tab and choose a workflow. Push a change to trigger it. And watch it run in the visualizer and live logs. Start small, and make it work for you. The payoff: trusting your code works after you merge. Read the full guide on the GitHub Blog.

Video generation uses credits. Review your estimate in ngram. MP4 downloads require Basic or higher.

How credits work

Paste your public source URL or provide the article text. Fill in the audience, takeaways and call to action, then choose the style, aspect ratio and duration. In ngram, attach any supporting files, select your configured Brand Kit and enable captions when wanted. Review and approve the plan containing the script before generation.

For existing footage, export an authorized video from Pictory or Visla and upload the file. Describe the new audience and message; the export becomes source footage while the editable project stays in its original app. After updating your article, tell ngram what changed and request a revision. For a second format, request another version and select its aspect ratio and duration.
