- Choose the Claude or full developer profile for editing and export.
- Review the current preview before asking for a file.
- Request a new export when edits make the previous MP4 obsolete.
You have a launch video in chat. The title color is wrong at eight seconds, and the closing button is hard to read. Downloading the current cut and sending edits in another thread creates a simple problem: nobody knows which version the file represents.
Connect to a profile that can edit and export
In Claude, open Customize → Connectors → Add custom connector. Enter https://mcp.ngram.com/claude and complete the ngram sign-in flow. A compatible developer client can use the root endpoint. Follow the MCP setup guide for its authentication path. API-key video creation requires a paid account with credits. Supported connected sign-in has its own account rules.
The OpenAI profile for eligible ChatGPT workspaces creates, checks or cancels a narrated explanation with a fixed presentation format. Use the full profile for the editing and explicit export workflow below. If your client cannot show the inline player, open the project in ngram from the returned project link.
Give the preview something specific to prove
Describe who will watch, what they should understand and what existing source to use. For example, “Show a new project lead how to move the launch email on the task board, using this recording. Finish with the action they should take.” Check the proposed settings and quoted credits. In Claude’s default connected flow, review the plan and answer any follow-up questions.
Request the change in the same project
This illustrated Claude example starts from an existing Tidepath preview. The reviewer specifies the title at 0:08, asks for coral text, a larger closing call to action and captions. The revised preview appears in the conversation. The clip shows the revision and the export option.
Name the frame, what should change and what should stay. Replay the revised moment and the surrounding scene. If an earlier export exists, treat it as the earlier version until you have exported the revision.
Export the version someone can use
Ask the full profile to export the current video as an MP4 at a resolution your ngram plan supports. Wait for the export job and open the file it returns. Scrub to 0:08 and check the closing frame. A project link lets someone continue reviewing in ngram; the exported MP4 is the deliverable for an upload or handoff.
Use the export guide when working directly in Studio. The MCP integration page shows two more illustrated briefs, including one that starts from an uploaded screencast.
You just read it. Now watch it.
ngram turns this post into a short explainer video: scenes, voiceover, and motion graphics included.
