Poll to video: turn the result bars into a recap people actually watch

Bring the question and the response counts from a finished poll and ngram plans a short results video: animated answer bars, a script that calls out the winning option, brand kit, and captions. The poll-data ingestion pipeline is still in build, so this converter is on the way, not live yet.

How it works

How poll to video will work once it ships.

No chart-builder, no slide formatting, no screen recording of a results dashboard. Bring the tally, review the recap, render a branded video. Here is the flow the converter is being built to follow.

01

Bring the poll results in

Upload an XLSX or CSV results export, or paste the question with each option and its count. ngram will read which answers won, how the votes split, and how many people responded.

02

Results become a recap

ngram will rank the answers by share of vote, pick a bar or donut that fits the split, and write a narration that names the leading option and the runner-up instead of reading every percentage aloud.

03

Review the results story

Reorder the answer scenes, switch a donut for stacked bars, change which option leads the recap, or rewrite the takeaway in chat. Every change is one turn, no spreadsheet formula required.

04

Ship the recap

Export MP4 in 16:9, 1:1, or 9:16. Publish to a hosted watch page, push to the team channel, or drop it into the recap deck. Re-render the moment a new poll closes.

Output controls

Sensible defaults for poll results. Real controls when the split deserves them.

Bars picked from the vote split

A two-option poll gets a head-to-head bar, a multi-choice poll gets ranked horizontal bars, a yes/no question gets a share-of-total donut, a single runaway winner gets a big number card. ngram reads the split and chooses the visual that makes the result land.

Winning answer called out

The option that took the most votes gets its own emphasis scene with the count animated up to value. The recap leads with the result instead of burying it in a row of percentages.

Narration that reads the result

Instead of reciting every option, the script names the answer that won, the margin over the runner-up, and the response total. The voiceover sounds like a host reading the room, not a tally read out loud.

Brand kit on every result scene

Logo, palette, and font stack from the workspace brand kit color the bars, the donut, and the number cards. The Q3 poll recap and the launch-day poll recap look like the same team produced them.

Voiceover tuned to who is watching

Brisk for an internal pulse check, warmer for a community poll recap, measured for a stakeholder vote summary. Pick a brand voice or use a cloned voice from voice settings.

Burned-in captions and result labels

Auto-generated captions plus on-screen labels that hold the exact percentage long enough to read. The winning count stays legible when the recap autoplays muted in a feed or a team channel.

Localized counts and narration

Render the same poll as an English results recap, a German vote summary, and a Spanish community update. Captions, on-screen labels, and voiceover switch together, percentage formatting included.

One poll, three cuts

Export the same results recap as a 9:16 vertical for the all-hands, a 1:1 square for the team channel, and a 16:9 for the stakeholder deck. One tally in, three publish-ready ratios out.

Use cases

Where a column of vote counts becomes a video people actually watch.

Product research

User-research poll findings as a recap

The answers from a product pulse poll or a feature-priority vote turn into a findings video the whole team sits through. Each result gets a clean animated scene instead of a percentage table buried in a doc.

Product

Roadmap polls the team can watch

The vote on what to build next becomes a short recap for the team and stakeholders. The PM narrates which option won instead of pasting a poll screenshot into the thread.

Founders

Audience polls in the founder update

A community or customer poll the founder ran turns into a branded results clip for the investor or audience update. The vote split reads out loud over animated bars, no separate deck build before the send.

Growth marketing

Social poll results as a content clip

The poll a growth team ran on LinkedIn or in a newsletter becomes a recap clip that keeps the conversation going. The winning answer leads the scene, the brand kit carries the look.

HR and internal comms

Employee-survey poll recaps

The results of an internal pulse poll become a short branded recap the whole company watches, instead of a results email most people skim. Each headline answer gets its own scene.

Community

Community poll recaps that re-share

A poll run in a community or on social turns into a result clip members re-share. The split animates in, the winning option is named, and the recap loops on a hosted watch page.

Marketing

Webinar poll results as follow-up clips

The live poll a marketing team ran during a webinar becomes a follow-up clip for the recap email. Each answer scene is branded, narrated, and sized for the channel it ships to.

Event recap

Event poll highlights in the recap reel

Audience polls from a conference or town hall feed straight into the event recap video. The results scenes sit alongside the highlights so the recap shows what the room actually voted for.

How it compares

If you've been turning poll results into video another way.

Template editors hand you a voting-results layout you fill in by hand. Live-polling tools show the bars during the event but stop at the meeting. ngram is being built to read the closing counts and plan a branded results video on its own. It is not live yet, so this is what the converter is aiming at.

FAQ

Common questions about poll to video

Not yet. Poll to video is on the way, not live. The pipeline that reads a raw poll export end to end is still in build, so the uploader and the paste box on this page are marked coming soon. While it is wired up, text to video is live today: paste the question and each answer with its count and get a narrated, branded results clip. If the results are already a PDF or a published page, pdf to video and url to video are live too.

Still curious?
