HTTV

HTTV, also known as Hometowne Television, is a nonprofit community television station and video production studio based in Summit, New Jersey. Operating since 1980, the organization has spent more than four decades producing and airing programs that inform, inspire, and educate audiences across Northern New Jersey, growing from its early days as "Communities On Cable" into a broadcast and web platform serving households throughout the region.

The station's video production work spans original community shows, sports coverage, municipal and public-affairs meetings, and special-interest programming, all of which it produces in-house and distributes both on cable and through its HTTV Homecasting video-on-demand library. Recent productions include series such as Limitless, Family Historian, and Blueprints and Barriers, reflecting a focus on local stories, civic engagement, and education.

Beyond its own programming, HTTV offers production services that let individuals, businesses, and local government create and share their own shows, supported by in-house studio facilities and an experienced crew. For organizations in and around Summit, New Jersey looking for a community-rooted video production partner, HTTV combines broadcast capability, live event coverage, and editing under one roof.

As a long-standing nonprofit, HTTV also invests in the next generation of local media makers, mentoring communications and media students and providing internship and volunteer opportunities that keep its community programming mission going into its fifth decade.
