Strange Journey — Epoch (SMT anime edit) | ai video made with ngram

About the video

This AI video was made with ngram to an atmospheric fan edit built around the Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey universe. The piece moves through five titled beats — The Black World, Into the Schwarzwelt, The Warning, Free to Choose, and Second Chance — tracing the arc of a party descending into a mysterious black dimension, confronting an ominous warning, and ultimately facing a choice that reframes the stakes as a second chance. The visuals are built entirely from HTML/CSS motion graphics in a 16:9 frame, giving the piece a stylized, screen-native look rather than traditional animation or live footage, with each scene title acting as a chapter marker for the mood shift it introduces. The overall feel leans into the franchise's dark, philosophical tone, using typography and timed transitions to carry the narrative beats instead of dialogue-heavy exposition. Viewers get a mood-driven recap of the Strange Journey story structure: the pull into the unknown, the cautionary tone of the warning, the emphasis on player agency in choice, and the closing note of redemption or renewal. It works as a tribute-style edit for fans tracking the game's narrative beats and tone rather than a tutorial or product walkthrough.
