Story of a Warrior — Strange Journey Redux AMV | made with ngram

About the video

This video was created by ngram to tell an animated music video retelling of Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey Redux, rendered in an HTML/CSS motion graphics style. The video traces the game's narrative arc across twenty-one scenes, opening with the Schwarzwelt anomaly rising over Earth as seen from orbit, then introducing the fleet and crew sent to investigate the phenomenon. The story follows the protagonist donning the Demonica suit, entering the anomaly's wall, surviving a crash, and awakening as his eyes ignite before he rises as the warrior at the center of the conflict. Later scenes depict alliances formed with demons, a confrontation involving a character named Alex, an encounter with Demeter, a pivotal moment raising a sword, and the philosophical split between the Law and Chaos factions. The journey continues through encounters with Mem Aleph, a close look at Alex's ring, the appearance of Shekinah, and a climactic final battle. The video closes with the Red Sprite's escape, a quieter sequence framed as a new neutral path marked by a moon vigil, and ends on an image of a helmet being put on. Built entirely with HTML/CSS-driven motion graphics, the piece uses graphic transitions and typographic scene titles to move through the story's major beats in sequence, giving fans of the game a condensed visual recap of its key characters and turning points.
