SMT IV — Sinking Town | made with ngram

About the video

This video was created by ngram to retell the story of Shin Megami Tensei IV through a sequence of animated scenes built with HTML/CSS motion graphics. It opens in Mikado, introducing the four Samurai, before moving through the Gauntlet Rite and the appearance of the Black Samurai. The narrative then descends through Naraku and surfaces in a transformed Tokyo beneath the Firmament, where the story reaches a turning point with the split among the protagonists. The video continues into the confrontation between Lucifer and Merkabah, the significance of Masakado's katana, and the climactic battle that follows. It closes with the fall of the Firmament and a final scene of sunlight breaking through, marking the resolution of the story. Using a stylized motion graphics approach in 16:9 format, ngram structured these eleven scenes into a clear, sequential recap that traces the game's key plot beats from introduction to resolution, giving viewers a condensed but faithful walkthrough of the narrative arc.
