Sinking Town — Shin Megami Tensei IV | made with ngram

About the video

This video was created by ngram to recap a key story moment from Shin Megami Tensei IV, moving through three scenes: Mikado, the city above, Tokyo below, and the sinking that joins them. Built with HTML/CSS motion graphics in a vertical 9:16 format, the video uses clean animated typography and transitions to walk viewers through the reveal that Mikado sits above a buried, ruined Tokyo, and the moment the two worlds converge as the city sinks. The structure moves from establishing Mikado, to revealing what lies beneath it, to the climactic sinking itself, giving viewers a quick, visually driven recap of the game's central lore twist. The vertical framing and motion graphic treatment make it suited for quick, mobile-first viewing rather than a long-form explainer, delivering the narrative beat in a short, scrollable format.
