About the video

This explainer video was made with ngram to explain my-village.ie, a real-time, algorithm-free digital village square built for irish communities. the video shows how residents can discover local businesses, clubs, and community supports based on location and relevance rather than engagement metrics, tracking, ads, or sponsored rankings. it also covers the offering for local businesses and clubs, who get a tailored digital presence that puts them in front of nearby people already looking for what they provide, without competing against global ad budgets or fighting a content algorithm. the overall message positions the platform as a clean, privacy-first community directory covering businesses, events, clubs, and local supports in one place, giving viewers a clear sense of who the platform serves and what makes it different from typical social or directory apps.
