Candle Queen — Chiaki Tachibana (SMT III: Nocturne) | made with ngram

About the video

This video was created by ngram to trace the character arc of Chiaki Tachibana, the Candle Queen from Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne, across seven scenes: her introduction on the stage, her status as Gozu-Tennoh's heir, her ascension as Yosuga, the friends she pushes away, her confrontation at the Tower of Kagutsuchi, her broken crown, and a closing reflection on her fate. Told through HTML/CSS motion graphics in a 16:9 widescreen format, the video presents her story as a structured sequence of narrative beats, moving from her rise in favor and power to her eventual downfall. The scene titles suggest a tragic framing, following her from ambition and inherited authority through isolation and conflict to her ultimate loss. ngram built the video by breaking the character study into these seven titled segments and rendering them with motion graphic animation techniques in HTML/CSS, giving the retelling a stylized, screen-based visual treatment suited to fans of the game who want a concise recap of this boss character's lore and emotional arc.
