# Build ngram workflows in n8n Source: https://www.ngram.com/docs/n8n Published: 2026-07-07T00:00:00Z Updated: 2026-10-21T00:00:00Z Install the verified n8n-nodes-ngram community node on self-hosted n8n or n8n Cloud and create videos from prompts, text, or URLs with instant triggers. n8n The ngram community node, verified by n8n, lets n8n workflows create videos and react to render events. Install it from the Nodes panel on self-hosted n8n or n8n Cloud, add an API key from Settings, and drop the nodes into a workflow. [1 Integration access Understand current connection surfaces, authentication paths, and coming-soon states.](https://www.ngram.com/docs/integrations-and-automation) 2. [2 API keys Create, copy, rotate, and revoke a self-service API key in Settings.](https://www.ngram.com/docs/api/public-api-v1) ## Overview ngram publishes a community node package, ` n8n-nodes-ngram `, that adds video actions and event triggers to n8n. It calls the same public API as the other automation surfaces and uses an API key you create in ngram Settings. ## Before you start Video creation with an API key requires Basic or a higher paid plan and enough credits. Creating a key is self-service, but a key alone does not make a Free account eligible to generate videos through the API. Make sure you can install the community node and manage credentials in your n8n instance. Start with non-sensitive test data. ## Install the community node The easiest way to get started is from [ngram's verified integration page on n8n.io](https://n8n.io/integrations/ngram/?utm_source=www.ngram.com) - it walks you through installing the node on your instance and lists everything the integration can do. Or install it from inside n8n: click + in the top right of the editor to open the Nodes panel and search ` Ngram `. It's a verified community node, so it's discoverable directly on both self-hosted n8n and n8n Cloud - an instance owner approves it once, and anyone on the instance can add it after that. For reference, see the package on [npm](https://www.npmjs.com/package/n8n-nodes-ngram?utm_source=www.ngram.com) and n8n's [community node install guide](https://docs.n8n.io/integrations/community-nodes/installation-and-management?utm_source=www.ngram.com) . ## Add your credential Create a credential from [Settings → API Keys](https://www.ngram.com/app/settings/api-keys) , then add it to n8n Credentials. The node sends the credential as ` Authorization: Bearer ngs_… ` on every call, so a single credential covers every ngram node in your workflows. ## Nodes | Node | Type | What it does | | --- | --- | --- | | Create Video | Action | Start a render from a prompt, with optional website, voice, style, aspect ratio and duration. | | Create From Text | Action | Turn a prompt or source text into a video. | | Create From URL | Action | Research a webpage, article, product page or doc and create a video from it. | | Get Status | Action | Fetch a video's status and finished MP4 URL by id. | | On Video Ready | Trigger | Fires when a render finishes, on the video.completed event. | | On Video Failed | Trigger | Fires when a render fails, on the video.failed event. | ## Example workflow A minimal render-and-notify workflow looks like this: 1. A Webhook or Schedule node kicks the workflow off. 2. Create Video starts the render with your prompt and options. 3. On Video Ready fires when the render finishes. 4. An HTTP Request or Slack node posts the MP4 URL wherever you need it. ## n8n FAQ ### Does this work on n8n Cloud? Yes. n8n-nodes-ngram is verified by n8n, so it installs the same way on n8n Cloud as it does on a self-hosted instance — search Ngram in the Nodes panel and add it. ### How do I install the node? Click + in the Nodes panel and search Ngram. It's a verified community node, so it's discoverable directly on both self-hosted n8n and n8n Cloud — an instance owner approves it once, and anyone on the instance can add it after that. ### How do I authenticate? Create a key in ngram under Settings → API Keys and add it to n8n Credentials. The node sends it as Authorization: Bearer ngs_… on every call, so one credential covers all ngram nodes in the workflow. ### What nodes does the package add? Four actions — Create Video, Create From Text, Create From URL and Get Status — and two triggers — On Video Ready and On Video Failed — which fire on the video.completed and video.failed events. ### Is it an official, verified ngram package? Yes. n8n-nodes-ngram is published by ngram, verified by n8n, and listed at n8n.io/integrations/ngram. It calls the same public API as the REST, MCP and Zapier surfaces, so behavior and limits match everywhere. ## Keep going [Getting started Learn the create → poll → webhook lifecycle after creating your self-service API key.](https://www.ngram.com/docs/getting-started) [n8n integration overview The product story behind the ngram n8n node.](https://www.ngram.com/integrations/n8n) [MCP server Render videos from Claude, Cursor and other agents as tool calls.](https://www.ngram.com/docs/mcp) ## Continue in ngram Open the workspace and put this guide into practice with your own project.
